The Floral Maxi

The go-to dress length for summer parties, work, and weekends is the ultimate maxi.  Maxi dresses are the classic summer-ready style item, but every season has a new take on this wardrobe essential. I have collaborated with ASOS for their Occasionwear Hub and let me tell you, I was thrilled with excitement to be a part of their wedding guest campaign.

My invites are racking up for this summer's weddings, and I was looking for a versatile floor-skimmer that can be dressed up or down for the occasion. Since I wanted the perfect dress for a beach-side wedding as well as a classic piece for daily errands, I went for a bold print while keeping the accessories minimal.
If you're like me and believe in styling your item in more ways than one, consider looking for a flowy silhouette with side slit detailing. This flirty and feminine print is casual but the high slits give it a daring touch that makes it hard to resist for a night out.

Maxi dresses are a great choice for formal occasions when complemented with strappy heels and a pop of bold lipstick. It certainly was a hit during the evening. I was proud to break the #1 in fashion and wear the same ensemble with a straw hat and nude lips for the perfect Sunday spent at brunch with friends. Don't be afraid to go for heavy prints and boho styling when it comes to shopping for maxi dresses this summer!

Have a great Monday!

Xo,
Lillian
