BEST of 2012

A YEAR IN REVIEW
They aren’t kidding when they say “time flies by”. I cannot believe it’s almost about to be 2013. It seems like yesterday I was debating on whether I should start a fashion blog or not. I started my blog in February of 2012 and did not know what to expect.

I not only made amazing friends on this journey but continued to be inspired my all of my followers daily.
I had the opportunity to work with some amazing photographers and some amazing collaborations.
I definitely have to thank my family, especially my mom, for all of the countless hours she spent taking pictures for me and all my close friends who understood when I was continuously on my phone updating all my social media networks.
Most importantly, I want to thank each and every one of you for making me feel grateful and blessed everyday. I started this blog not knowing where this journey would take me and I plan to continue it in 2013 hoping to inspire all of you! I feel touched by every comment and wouldn’t have even been able to start a blog without all of you.
I wish you all an AMAZING New Years and an even more incredible 2012!

Keepin' It Casual

It's finally the weekend! I can't believe this week is over! I think I am getting sick so I will be sleeping and taking a lot of medicine this weekend to avoid getting worse. I have been juggling quite a few tasks the past few days so hope to have a relaxing weekend.

I have always been a fan of knee high socks but never purchased a pair. After finding a pair at Free People, I thought I would give the casual look a chance. Give me a pair of jeans, a chic button up and some pumps and I am good to go. Give me a dress and boots, and I will be forever lost. Although I am a sucker for a pretty dress, pairing it with flat boots was out of my comfort zone. It has been raining in L.A, making this the perfect outfit for a day out in cold weather.

ARMY GREEN & LEATHER

One thing I'm a big believer in is investing in outerwear pieces. That's a staple item you'll be wearing over and over again and one of the first things that others will notice. When putting this particular outfit together, I used some of my classic pieces and paired it with a cargo jacket with my leopard scarf being the major accent print. Leather continues to trend this season and I couldn't help but to wear my favorite skirt with some tights for a cold day out in L.A.

Happy Tuesday lovelies!

HELLO NOVEMBER

Here is another simple outfit from the weekend; loose tank tops and a pair of skinnies have really got to be my go-to items for our unpredictable L.A weather.
After my hair appointment, I decided to throw my favorite hat on for a Saturday filled with errands and lunch with friends. Speaking of hair, I just recently touched up my hair! I decided touch up the ombre and kick it up a notch from a whisper to a faint scream with the gradual color change! Do you all like it?

November has arrived and so have all of the holidays. I am very excited for cold weather and can't believe the year is almost coming to an end!

Happy almost Friday lovelies!

YOUNG & REBELLIOUS

Although it's fall almost everywhere else, we are still stuck in a heat wave in Los Angeles.
The temperatures have constantly been in the 90's allowing me to hang on to my summer clothes for a little longer.
Colored denim is here to stay. We are now transitioning to printed denim jeans and the unthinkable.
The color red reflects a bold and loud personality, in which is very similar to my own characteristics.
I decided to pair my favorite red jeans with a graphic tee and a leather vest to channel my inner biker persona.

Another closet staple that I have recently been lusting over are my new combat boots. They add a touch of edge to any outfit and can be styled in multiple ways.

Everyone has a unique voice and distinct style. I would love to know how you would style your favorite pair of colored jeans,

Thank you so much for love and support! It means the world to me!

PARIS STREET STYLE

Photos courtesy of Grazia and StreetFSN

When asked about what inspires me in life and fashion, besides culture and music, street style is what mostly inspires my personal style.
Although cat walks are ALWAYS amazing, seeing each person's outtake on fashion come to life on the streets makes my heart skip a beat.

With fashion shows going on in Paris, I thought I would share my favorite Paris street styles shots that I am lusting over in this heat!

Which collections were your favorite?
Tweet me @starstuddedlil and tell me all about it.

Endless Summer Love

Los Angeles is known for its breath taking weather but I have to admit, I want the temperatures to fall a little bit so I can start dressing for fall!
This weekend was still too hot so I couldn't wear anything except dresses and shorts. I found this amazing piece at LFstores before I went to New York and instantly fell in love with the silhouette and eye catching print.
Hope you all had a fabulous work week!
Any fun weekend plans?

Best Memories Come From Bad Ideas

Although it's Fall, it still very much feels like summer in LA.
Our 90 degree weather this weekend made me not only want to teleport myself to the beach but also throw on a casual yet chic outfit for dinner that would keep me cool.
Pairing graphic tees with fun skirts and shorts has become my new obsession.
It's casual, comfortable yet has an edge.
My entire outfit ended up being from Zara (totally accidental).
I love how the peplum skirt gives any outfit a feminine touch but yet the tee and leather give it an edge.
Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
