Affordable Wellness & Beauty

Ahhh wellness and beauty, I am most definitely in love with you. As I have gotten older, I have become uber obsessed with wellness and beauty. Whether its hair care or a new skin care product, I make an effort to prioritize taking care of it. I am constantly reading reviews, asking dermatologist and trying new products. When my hair looks great, I instantly feel more confident. I notice when I am taking care of my skin, it’s a big confidence boost.
With so much research and constantly trying new products, I enjoy sharing my findings and what I like with you so much. I also know that price tags can often times be alarming and it’s important to me to find affordable products that don’t jeopardize quality. Romel once told me, “the key to a great product is great quality at a great price”!
When I think of drugstore brands, I immediately think about Rite-Aid. I grew up with one nearby and I would always shop for the next best shampoo as I started to fall in love with hair care more in my teenage years. They always offer great prices on quality hair care, skin and body products. For me, hair care is top priority. I am always on the hunt for the best shampoos and conditioners that not only moisturize my hair but also leave it looking shiny and radiant. Pantene is one of my favorite products and this week they are priced at $3.99 with an offer of “buy one get one 50% off”. This is a steal -(running to Rite Aid as you are reading this) !
Without further adieu, let’s jump right into skincare. The new Olay Regenerist has a heavenly formula that’s a one-stop-shop. It has a watery texture that absorbs into my skin instantly leaving it feel luminous with a velvety finish. I have been putting it to the test for the past week and I am loving it! Hydration is key for me in skincare! However, most moisturizers tend to leave a greasy residue and only sit on the top layer of your skin. The Olay Regenerist soaks into my skin like a sponge and also leaves a smooth canvas for makeup application instantly. Make sure you get your hands on one and try it before it sells out!
What are some of your favorite drug store brands and products? I would love to know!

Wedding Style

I can’t believe this is my first official post as a bride-to-be! It’s been such a surreal journey so far and I am so excited to plan my wedding and share all of the details surrounding the wedding on the blog. Getting engaged has been one of the most exciting times of my life!

You are probably thinking, “what have you planned so far”? Now that the excitement of the proposal has settled, I have started the wedding planning *screaming for joy* and will it be any shock to hear that one of my favorite parts so far has been already trying to plan my outfits for all of the wedding events? Choosing what to wear and where to start can be overwhelming, if I’m being honest. Don’t worry, though! I am going to share my best advice on the subject and hopefully serve as a guide for the early planning process.

Being Armenian and coming from a traditional culture, I am going to incorporate some traditions from my parent’s wedding as well as some new ones we grew up with. There are so many significant moments leading up to your wedding day, from bridal shower to rehearsal dinner, and you are going to want to look AH-mazing at each one. I have been looking for a white dress for each occasion and making sure each is very different from one another.

Since we got engaged in Park City, Utah, we have yet to plan an event celebrating with all of our loved ones in Los Angeles. Thinking about an engagement party, the first thought in my mind is fashion related, of course! I wanted a dress that was simple yet long in length. I wanted to keep it minimalistic with beautiful lace detailing. I love how timeless and feminine one shoulder dresses looked and seeing how form fitting this David's Bridal dress was, I instantly fell in love.

Depending on your location, you can either go all out for your engagement party or rehearsal dinner. Since we will be incorporating more traditions during our wedding day and opting out of a rehearsal dinner (can’t wait to share more from our culture), I wanted my engagement dress to celebrate in fashion but also be comfortable. Although white is always preferred, it’s definitely not a rule and you can choose any color you prefer. I preferred white but I was more concerned about the finding the perfect fit and quality. When I came across this affordable option from David's Bridal, I couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to style it as soon as possible.

Five years ago, my best friend’s sister got married and I got the honor to stand beside her on her special day as a bridesmaid. We wore beautiful dusty blue colored gowns and I remember my experience at David's Bridal since then. When asked to partner with them to share more about their dresses and experience, I knew it was the right fit immediately because of my own story several years ago prior to blogging. Whether you are looking for your engagement party dress, bridal shower, rehearsal or even celebrating your anniversary, David's Bridal offers both formal and casual options that are trendy yet affordable.

Remember to have fun and enjoy sharing this experience with your significant other (of course while looking AH-MAZING)

Step Into the Holidays with the Classics

It’s officially my favorite season of the year when it comes to traditions! From decorating to gift-giving, the holidays are definitely a time of year near and dear to my heart. I love getting the opportunity to spend time with family, friends and loves ones. And who doesn’t love a great holiday party? I couldn’t be more excited!
I have to admit that although the events are amazing, finding something to wear to each one can sometimes be a very serious task. Aside from the events - also comes gift shopping. Each year, my family members from my aunt to my grandmother, assign me the most difficult task of purchasing gifts for the entire family. It always seems to be stressful at first but I have to admit that it’s also a lot of fun.

This year, I am not only noticing an ongoing trend with my holiday picks for myself but the same for when I am gift shopping. Having a background in fashion design and having designed clothes for 9 years, knitwear was my specialty. Not only were the holidays our busiest time but my favorite was to design, create, and style the iconic gift giving and holiday party pieces.

Having a classic knitwear piece that you can style various ways for the holiday season is a key staple for the holidays. I always look for great quality and a neutral color to style with bold accessories. This cowl neck sweater has the perfect length to either be worn as a tunic or tucked into your jeans or a skirt for a more elevated look. It has different stitch details to the bottom hem and sleeves adding character to the silhouette. I not only own this piece for myself but will definitely be gifting it my family members in their favorite colors.

I paired my look with iconic red boots - the “It” color of the season along with a red lip. I wanted to keep the look classic and timeless yet a bit edgy. Who said the holidays were only meant for ugly Christmas sweaters? Invest in a great knitwear piece and give another as a gift this season and I promise you that they will not only love the garment but adore you! Now, off to plan my next holiday event or better yet, who I will be gifting this piece in red too?
