Gingham Off The Shoulder

As I get ready to plan my trips within the next month, this dress is the first thing I am packing for Hawaii. I will be going to Hawaii in two weeks and I can't wait to disconnect, relax, and get my tan on. Well, disconnect as in I will be snaphatting (username: studs_sapphires) my entire trip! (haha)

As we all have figured out by now, the off the shoulder detail has been my recent go-to and this silhouette has transformed into different body shapes and fabrications. I kept it feminine and flirty in this gingham piece but wanted to add a very thin suede belt to accentuate the waistline. It was quite the windy afternoon and my mom and I had fun laughing together as I would try to avoid the windstorm in this beautiful dress with my boater hat.

I have partnered up with some fabulous ladies for a chance to win a $1350 gift card to Nordstrom! Please see below for details on how to enter and good luck! (Giveaway ends on 8/7!)

The Poplin Tie Front

If you have been in the stores lately or browsed pre-fall on the internet, you already know that it's all about stripes and poplin fabrications. Poplin tie fronts, poplin prints, poplin embroidery - you name it, poplin has been reinvented. The once known as the "ultimate work wear button up shirt" has been redesigned as the ultra chic, comfortable and posh piece of the season.

The poplin top is definitely here to stay and it's the easiest way to revamp your look. This cotton fabrication has been interpreted into many different silhouettes, such as dresses, feminine blouses and even statement sleeve pieces. Pair it with a skinny pant, and this modern and minimalist look is a statement of its own. I have always been a button-up shirt kind of gal and the poplin shirt is a game changer this season in my book.

Miami & Kyboe!

Photography by Karla Garcia Costa

The second I got to Miami, I remembered how much I had missed it. Kyboe! hosted us for the weekend and I can’t thank them enough for the experience. We stayed at the Gale South Beach in Miami, and it’s such a chic boutique hotel with a beautiful rooftop pool. As soon as I checked in, there was a package from the team with my new rose gold watch waiting at the front desk. Kyboe! stole my heart as soon as I saw their 40mm and 48mm watches. I collect watches and I got that little hobby from my father. He loves watches that have a wider face and are a statement piece, which is exactly why I connected with Kyboe! instantly. Their pieces are so versatile and chic! My brother and I styled them all weekend accordingly to our outfits. I styled their stainless steel watch with rose-gold plaiting and you can find it here.

We kicked off our trip with their fashion show where they showcased their watches on a conveyor belt of hands along with models next to the runway. Each color was so bold and unique! We spent our Saturday at the beach at the Setai. The Setai is a beautiful hotel in Miami and if you are looking for luxury and amazing amenities, this is the hotel to visit. I think my favorite part of the trip was the dinner at Marc Bell’s home in Boca Raton. We had a private dinner by Todd English and got the opportunity to meet and converse with the wonderful Kyboe! team.

This ruffle off the shoulder top was the perfect piece because not only is it a trending silhouette but also lightweight enough to keep me` cool during the humidity. Since my Kyboe! watch was rosegold with gold accents, I kept my accessories were warm toned in camel shades.

The second I got to Miami, I remembered how much I had missed it.

Lillian
