Soft Smokey Eye & Oxblood Lips {Makeup Idea}

I partnered up with makeup artist, Elo Jello Seropian, this past weekend to share with you a detailed exposure on the "soft smokey eye" and my favorite, oxblood lips! If you have been following my Instagram and blog for a while, you would know that I obsess over bold lipstick colors, especially all shades of red.

Being the makeup junkie that I am, I always feel empowered to try different eye shadows and complete the perfect look with some sort of lipstick or gloss. Since we went with a dark red lip in this look, you should generally try to keep your eyes and the rest of the makeup soft and subtle to not overpower the entire look.
Apply Like a Pro
To achieve this look, you need a range of neutral shades, so we used Stila's "In the Know" palette" in Driftwood, Fire, and Earth. You can use a medium color in the crease, keeping it light at the the beginning of the eyelid and smoking out the end. To complete the eye, we added gel eye liner creating the "winged" look and "Naimes" #217 lashes for the full finished effect!
After the eyes, we applied foundation all over face and neck with my favorite product, the Beauty Blender. Follow through with highlighting and contouring the face and sweeping a bronzer as the finishing touch.

For my look below, I chose to go more dramatic and added a dark red lip to make it more fierce (perfect for taking a look from day time to night!) If this is too much for you then feel free to make adjustments wherever necessary. You are in control! You can trade the dark lip in for a subtle nude color or lighten up the colors used in the crease so it's not as intense. The key for any look is to blend, blend, and blend some more!
I hope you enjoyed my first beauty post!
 I will be incorporating more beauty and hair tutorials and would love to know you would like to see or any feedback.

Red, Black, & Blue

I think "plaid" is here to stay and it's safe to say that I will continue to wear it as the seasons change. It finally feels like winter in L.A so it was perfect to take out this amazing Zara statement coat out this past weekend. I wanted to keep my outfit simple but still incorporate intricate details. These jacquard Cult denim skinnies were perfect with a bow tie blouse to keep me stylish on a cold L.A day.

Thank you everyone for all of your support and kind comments!
