GET THE LOOK: BIG CURLY HAIR

The day is finally here and I couldn't be any more excited to launch YouTube with all of you!
It's been a long journey and I am beyond thrilled to explore this new space and world with each and every one of you!
I want to thank you all for your amazing support, This new extension of Studs and Sapphires wouldn't have been possible without all of your endless love, support, and many comments.

With much anticipation, I know a hair tutorial was the first video I had to film! If there is anything I love more than fashion, it's big curls, volume, and of course hair spray!
I've teamed up with So In the Know to bring you my go-to hairstyle.
No matter your hair type, this style is all about the technique.
Please make sure to subscribe below and give the video a thumbs up!

Paisley Monday

It's finally Monday and in my world that just means one day closer to my big news tomorrow!
I hope you all had an amazing weekend and ready to start the week fresh and feeling great.
I think it's about time I stop giving hints cause I might just give it away already! (almost there.)
If you follow me on Instagram (@Studsandsapphires), you have already seen all of the hints I have been dropping throughout the week.
Well wait no more because tomorrow is the official launch of what I have been working on!

Starting off with new and fresh, I decided to incorporate that into today's look.
Although I always gravitate towards a pencil skirt silhouette for the midi length, I decided to explore with a new shape and that's when this gorgeous paisley print skirt came to play.

Orange Suede

Orange you glad it's almost the weekend?
(I am just kidding!), but I am definitely in an amazing mood because it's almost time to announce the big news! In 5 days, I will reveal something very special to me and of course, to all of you!
Something B I G is coming on 2.24.15.
Make sure you are tagging along on all of my social media to get some sneak peeks and hints in the meantime!

I am loving color a lot recently. Although black and white will always be my first love, a pop of color can definitely change the whole aspect of an entire outfit to outgoing, fun, and unique.
I have been organizing my closet the past week and in the midst of cleaning, I discovered this orange beauty from a while back! I immediately couldn't believe my eyes that I hadn't worn it in forever and brought it out to play for a day filled with many meetings.

I hope you all had a great week! Have you been keeping up with New York Fashion Week?
If yes, who was your favorite designer and collection? I would love to know!

Distressed Chambray Vibe

Although it's freezing on the East Coast and all of the New York Fashion Week street style shots are showing fur, I decided to bring out my white jeans over the long weekend.
Denim is making a huge statement this season and chambray is such a versatile piece.
Here I paired my white jeans with a destroyed denim top. Although it's much warmer here in LA, it's not quite that warm yet.
I paired my whole outfit with a black blanket scarf that allowed me to transition my outfit from day to night quickly while layering and keeping it chic.

All Black Everything

All black.
Such a dramatic, edgy, yet chic color.
In honor of New York Fashion Week starting today, I was inspired to style an all black ensemble. I won't be making it out this season but will definitely be there in spirit.
When I think of Fashion Week and New York, all black comes to mind. It's also a very chic fall/winter trend.

Black is sophisticated without trying too hard and I think that sums up Fashion Week for me.
In addition, all black everything works for any occasion or season since it's so timeless.

Navy Tuxedo

I've been constantly wearing black and white recently and when I discovered this navy double-breasted blazer, I knew I had to have it. Navy can also play as a neutral color and always reminds me of a nautical and striped theme.

Since I paired it with a red cross body bag, light washed denim, and a white button-up, I was ready to be teleported to the Hamptons or a yacht. A girl can dream right?
Even though a vacation would be nice, this was the perfect outfit to take to dinner with parents as well attend all of my day meetings.

I wanted to bring in some of the East Coast vibe since NYFW will be starting and I will be there in spirit. I hope you all are having an amazing week so far!

Geometric Cape

Is it just me or time is just flying by?
I can't believe we are already done with the first week of February.
Although, I secretly want the days to pass by faster to share something amazing with you guys! (Soon, I promise!)

Our weather is always unpredictable. With warm days and cold nights, you always have to have an extra layer ready when it gets colder.
I can't get enough off ponchos and the cape trend.
It's such an easy simple piece for layering and also adds a more flare to your look while looking casual.
This geometric color block cape was such a bold pattern that I kept the rest of the outfit very simple.
I have been styling my skinny jeans a lot recently so I decided to bring out the flares.
Happy Friday!
I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @Studsandsapphires for a giveaway launching tomorrow!

Shades of Pink

With Valentine's day around the corner, the month of February always starts off with pink and everyone is in the spirit of love.
I only thought it was appropriate to incorporate the color for a post but only with a twist.
If you can tell by now, I am all for updating classic pieces and revamping timeless items.
A closet staple piece can be worn in many ways depending on the style and season.

I would like to believe that it's still winter, even though our days are mostly spent in 70 degree weather.
I wanted to dress in the Valentine's day spirit but keeping it casual and chic enough to wear to multiple places during the day.
I fell in love with the pink tone of this coat and thought it was perfect to start the day off with fresh pink roses.

I kept the rest of the outfit very casual and added my contrast leopard pumps to pop in a bold pattern.
I hope you all are having a great week!
