Red & Distressed

Red is definitely one of my favorite colors. It brings a pop of color to any outfit. (It's also one of the main colors for Fall)
I can't seem to shy away from my Distressed boyfriend jeans! The cut, rise, and wash is just perfect. Although the jeans give my outfit a more edgy and trendy look, I still wanted to look a bit polished.
I added the red blazer and leopard heels to dress up the outfit.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Poplin & Leather

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
As we all know, my love for leather is unconditional. I have paired it with graphic tees, sweaters, knits, you name it and I have styled a leather skirt with it. (Except for a poplin shirt)
I am trying to step out of my comfort zone more and also pair unusual fabrications together that I wouldn't normally wear.
I recently bought this amazing polka dot poplin shirt and thought it would be perfect to style it with leather to break it apart from the "professional/business" type of look it usually reflects.

The Mustard Yellow Shirt

Mustard yellow and red will be two of several key colors for this season.
Although we are experiencing 100 degree weather in Los Angeles currently, I still chose to dress for Fall yesterday. I do wish I wore a sleeveless considering how hot our weather has been!

Let's talk about this mustard yellow pantone! It's one of my favorites because it immediately adds a vibrant pop of color to any outfit. I love to pair it with neutrals to keep the rest of the outfit very crisp.
This pleated scuba skirt was the perfect fit for my equipment blouse and I went with a more deep burgundy lipstick color gearing me up for Fall (now if only our weather would too!).
Happy Monday!

Crochet & Silver Layers

As I stared into my closet when I wore this outfit, I realized I need more color in my closet!
But, I also think there is nothing more classic than a black and white combo.
The twosome looks will play a major role come this Fall season.

In this post, I paired a classic white button-up with a black crochet pencil length skirt.
I wanted my necklace and shoes to make a statement of its own so I kept the rest very simple.
Have a fabulous day!

Plaid Mondays

Happy Monday!
If you haven't noticed, I can't get enough of plaid!
Not only is it going to be everywhere this Fall/Winter season, but it's such a fun pattern to dress up or down. I currently own a plaid shirt in every shade of red possible! (maybe I should start collecting them in green and/or blue?)
I paired this flannel plaid top with destroyed black denim. I wanted to keep the outfit casual but crisp. I styled it with these amazing pumps that have a strap detail and also a statement necklace to make the outfit more bold and feminine.

Dressy Stripes

For the dressy part, I chose to pair this piece with a leather moto jacket and strappy high heel sandals. I changed my handbag to a black studded piece to complete the ensemble and added a bold lip to take the look from "day to night".

How would you dress this piece?
