You're Invited: #PoshParty & "Spring Fling" Cleaning

Define Spring Cleaning.
You mean I have to clean my room and and closet of all the things I no longer wear or use? *gasp*
I have to thank Poshmark for encouraging me by having me co-host an amazing party next week and to do some serious spring cleaning.

It has been a long time and this weekend, I plan to tackle my overwhelming closet! The great news? I will be selling some of my favorite shoes and clothes on Poshmark , including my very own pumps that inspired the "Studs" part of my blog name right here.

If you live in LA, please join our "Spring Fling" themed party with a night of cocktails, mingling and shopping!
I would love to see all of you at the event - please RSVP here and by 4/1!
If you can't make it or don't live in LA (don't worry), you can still enjoy the fun from your iPhone or iPad. Just make sure to download the Poshmark app and you can shop our closets virtually or share your own "Spring Fling" items for sale!

I hope to see you all there or on the app!

P.S. Use code "BNAGB" to get a $5 shopping credit when your register.

My top Spring/Summer '14 trends

Pastels. Brights. All white. Lace inserts. Crochet. Shorts.
I can go on for hours about how incredibly happy spring/summer clothing makes me. With winter finally over and Spring just here, I couldn't help but to want to share some of favorite trends for this season with you. I always get really excited for warmer weather but living in   has already spoiled me with that factor. I can't wait to incorporate these trends into my personal style posts and I hope you obsess over them as much as I am currently.
Not your classical white shirt
If I could define Victoria Beckham's Spring 2014 rtw collection, I would definitely say "crisp" and "sporty".  Mostly consisting of black, white and shades of grey, her button-downs are what stood out to me. We can all conclude that a classic white shirt acts as a foundation piece in all of our wardrobes but this season our white shirt is coming with a twist. Sheer panel detailing and asymmetrical hemlines are taking center stage for spring.

A biker jacket in any color but black
The biker jacket has made its impact quite strongly and was a key item for Fall/winter. Now it's time we add a second biker piece to our wardrobe and also in color! It's safe to say more than 75% of the jackets I own are both leather and/or fall under the biker trend category. This Antonio Berardi piece is gorgeous and completely lust worthy!

Sugar Coated Lace
I love lace and can wear it year round! This has to be one of my absolute favorites from Burberry Prorsum. It is in a gorgeous pastel color and it's more playful because of it's see through detailing. This trend is elegant but also adds a sex appeal with it's sheerness. Lace will definitely be incorporated into many pieces this season!

Twin sets
Are you in love with this twin set from Michael Kors? The crop top isn't going anywhere and now paired with a pencil skirt, it's only elegant but super playful. I am obsessed with matching tops and bottoms and have to get myself a twin set!

Shine like metallic
Metallic details usually reflect resort and winter/holiday season but not this time! Good news, the metallic trend will be big this spring and it can be dressed up or down. I like how Saint Laurent created a glamorous metallic look with this dress but I will most likely add just metallic accents to my wardrobe.

Graphical
Say it loud and proud!
This season is all about the words that are stated on your shirt, dress, jacket, etc, such as this Christian Dior dress. Whether the clothing is shouting out a motto or brand, it reflects what you stand for and believe in.

All about the hair, baby!

NICE HAIR!
I, immediately, squealed for excitement when I saw this graphic tee by Alex & Chloe. If there is anything I love more than dark chocolate and guacamole, it's HAIR! With our temperate in the high 80's yesterday, it was the perfect weather to bring out my favorite crop top! I paired it with a high back slit skirt, in which the body con shape was a perfect pair with my loose fitted top!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

LIPSTICK GUIDE

As you know, I am a bit of a lipstick-aholic. I often get asked what color I am wearing, so I decided to put together a post on my favorite lipsticks that have become a part of my beauty routine. I am a big fan of red and although it’s not always clear in my pictures, I usually wear a different shade every time. I keep my eye makeup very simple with just mascara and eyeliner and add a little bit highlighter and bronzer to not look overdone and keep it minimal. I chose to throw in one of my favorite matte nude lipstick shades that I consistently wear that can also make you look more lively. Although I play around with others colors, the above are definitely my favorite top colors that I keep going back to.

1.      NARS - Heat Wave
2. MAC - Rebel
3. TOM FORD - Sable Smoke
4. MAC - Russian Red
5. MAC - Diva

Everyone looks better and dynamic with color on their lips. Add some color and spice up your outfit!

Distressed Denim & Oversized Coats

Oversized coats and distressed denim are two staple items in my closet. With our weather being so gloomy recently and our cold nights, I decided to bring this shawl collared coat out to play along with my favorite pumps and jeans. Since the coat has no shape and it's oversized, I kept my bottom fitted and cuffed at the ankle to give the rest of the outfit some shape.

Weekend Brunch:: All black & Plaid umbrella

Hi Everyone!
The best remedy to a gloomy day is brunch with great company. We experienced heavy rain in L.A this weekend and for us native SoCal individuals, it was much needed but also rare. With the rain, I chose not to play with color in this outfit and pair my outfit with the dark and gloomy weather. Although, I do think that there is always something so chic about an all black outfit!
I had bought this plaid umbrella years ago but never had the opportunity to bring it out to play! Since my outfit was all black, I used the umbrella as the color/print base to harmonize the rest of the outfit.
